Chicken are not chicken at all. AnimalNirvana holds 20 chicken, of which 2 roosters, who crow whenever they feel like it. Like early morning but also siesta time. They need to be separated and protected from the dogs, who once and awhile like to saviour a juicy hen. Their eggs are of course very welcome.

She – let s call her Henna – was being chased out of her chicken group. She wondered outside of the chicken run and was chased by the dogs into a water pool. She then got very wet and cold, and couldn t move or eat anymore With tender loving care, in a special cage inside the warm cosy AnimalNirvana home she got by and now is again an accepted member of her chicken group
